My background:
I served for many years as a correspondent to Wired and the Village Voice, while contributing columns and features to the Times of London, Psychology Today, Child, The Scientist, Grist, Glenn Beck’s Fusion magazine, Body and Soul, Boston Magazine, and Information Security.
I have written for Fodor’s Travel Guides and magazines published by the Harvard Medical School, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Brown University.
I have been interviewed on many radio programs, and chaired a panel discussion about RFID in Boston. My stories about RFID and other Homeland Security technologies are cited in numerous books, academic papers and research journals.
Before graduating from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 1989, I worked at a TV and film production company that made cop shows for CBS. I also worked as a technical director for MTV Networks.
In the early 1990s, I spent a few months in Northern Ireland, writing a column for Ireland’s oldest newspaper, The Derry Journal.
In the late 1990s, during the dot-com boom, I wrote for a bunch of technology rags, out of New York and San Francisco.
Hello Mark, Alan Watt is the one conspiracy-researcher I like most, too. Have heard everything. Red-Ice is cool, too, although some shows are too eso in my opinion. I am glad to find somebody who mentions Alan as a source, he is just outstanding. I am going to write my own blog named rooftopshouter soon when I have time. I am 27 and I studied the conspiracy-related topics for the last 10 years with emphasis on the one after 911. So, I just wanted to say hi. Nice article (the one with the cloned somethings). There is a big presentation which floated round the net some years ago (had to look for the name) and there is one researcher who was really big in it (had to look for the name too), but who cares. I guess we have got bigger problems than shroomin

I guess youre right when you say that they will use the net for mind control (there is a reason why they call it “the net”).
Apart from that… What do you think are the most importent issues in the near future?

Although I do not believe in demons, I think, the powers to be do. This is the reason why they are so much into kaballah and numerology. This is the reason why Kotze and Freeman and … are right in searching for connections. They exist.
The Aliens is just a cover for their superior technology and they can pull it out of the hat if they think they need it. What do you think?

I hope, Mark, that you take all of this with a healthy dose of skepticism. That last part explaining the name of this domain… that sounds like a description of what led up to the events depicted in “The Matrix”. And surely, The Matrix is complete fantasy. Unless of course you’ve been consuming Reds.
Have you seen the Aaron Daronovsky movie “Pi”? If you haven’t… you’d damn well better! There is one key line that always reminds me of my quirky Latin teacher who believed in numerology. Plus, the mentor figure says more or less exactly what you said earlier on, on this page.
Oh, and also… “Operation Lune”, the French mockumentary, might be of interest.
As a scientist, I’m ready to look at any data gathered on any paranormal stuff. But as a rational human being, my general heuristic is that conspiracy theories are usually complete bunk, perpetuated by charlatans and madmen.
Here’s something interesting I found on Mr. Watt’s website:
“You can see how the deadly Spanish Flu virus was resurrected in the 1990’s by scientists who dug up corpses buried in 1918 in permafrost in northern Canada. The coming avian flu is no doubt a weaponized form of this virus to be used in the depopulation program widely publicized by the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Bertrand Russell Society, the Fabian Society, and the United Nations Department of Population Control.”
Yup. It must have been Bertrand Russell and his blasted legacy of followers! That damn athiest, communist, satanist, liberal mathematician!
And the Fabians! Those socialist conspirators are trying to sap and impurify my precious bodily fluids! Fluoridation, Mark! Children’s ice cream…
And the United Nations! Who would have thought?! They plan to wipe out excessive human populations using a weaponized form of a virus that hasn’t even evolved yet! Surely this is all because of liberal scientist commies trying to ruin America!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. I agree with much of what you say here. I’m all for listening, even a bit longer than others might, that’s true. My concern is that with all of the charlatans and madmen in the mix (you’re right, there are many), worthwhile topics get dismissed, too.
Then again, the same happens frequently in mainstream science and media, as well: forged cloning experiments, dangerous drugs that should never have escaped clinical trials, reporters in bed with their sources…

I am one of the moderators of that website you have there but I do have my own independent work on the side with health and fitness. Its refreshing to see a journalist actually exposing much of what is going on without sugar coating. I stopped reading the Village Voice a long time ago but now that I know you right there I might pick it back up. LOL.
Thanks for all the small little articles you’ve picked up along the way. It helps give a little proof to many of the things Alan Watt has mentioned. I think most of us should be doing the same so we have more ammunition for this fight. Keep up the good work.

I checked out your link to ‘occult of personality’ website and found it a bit light (although I must confess I only listened to one programme). I have listened to most of Alan Watts blurbs by now, read his books and the books he often references - Plato’s ‘Republic’; Darwin’s ‘The Next Million Years’; Russell’s ‘The Impact of Science on Society’; Huxley’s ‘Brave New World Revisited’; Brzezinski’s ‘Between Two Ages’; etc. What he is saying rings true. The evidence is all around us and becoming more apparent every day.
I think you are doing a good thing but I wish you would stop using that dismissive term ‘conspiracy theorist’.

Thanks David. Yes, Alan is on top of this stuff, big time. I appreciate your feedback on the “conspiracy theorist” usage. I struggle with that one. What works better for you? Conspiracy researcher? Actually, as I look at the latter, I think I like it. Eso-researcher (which I also use frequently) now makes me think of Occult of Personality…
Conspiracy researcher is definitely better. I was trying to think of an accurate term and the best I could come up with was truth seeker. I just watched a documentary on BBC4 called ‘The Menace of the Masses’ which touches on some of the topics Allan Watt talks about. It was a little misleading and not very in-depth but interesting nonetheless.

I’ve been looking to verify Alan Watt’s claim that D. Rumsfeld spoke about having aerosolized valium and prozac at the ready to spray upon a panicked populous in the event of another major emergency. I’ve not been able to confirm this.
I have gone so far as to sift through the DoD press releases dated post-9/11/2001. Nothing.
Anyone able to check this?
Watt claims to have seen it on TV (press conference or interview?) with Rumsfeld right after 9/11/2001.

Thank you for spreading the words on these stories, even at the risk of being socially consigned to the same “looney bin” that mainstream society puts those who read books, study history, etc. To most, the messenger is everything, and to hear these things from a “mainstream” source will lend them more legitimacy (whether real or perceived) than they have coming from an independent person with a shoestring budget.
I have to ask the requisite questions; I hope that you will be gracious enough to answer.
Do you belong or have you belonged to any government agencies, secret societies or fraternal organizations? What bodies or organizations, if any, have you sworn any oaths to?
I appreciate the cautious and skeptical tone with which you investigate these issues. There are a lot of liars and misleading voices out there. I’m sure there is also plenty of counterintelligence being spun out in the “conspiracy theory” sphere.
But the one thing that IS certain is that we are watching the veil being lifted from the most organized, high-tech, globally coordinated totalitarian apparatus in all of history (at least the authorized version for us), and every day makes it more difficult to deny.

Answer: I have never belonged to a government agency, secret society, or fraternal organization. I have taken no oaths. I did crash a few fraternity parties in college, however.
Mark, it’s great to see some real reporting in these crazy times. I found you through Alan Watt a while back and have really been enjoying your work and sharing it with a lot of other folks who are tired of the regular snews(snooze). Take care and keep up the great work.

Thanks for those links. No doubt there exists information regarding the use of sedatives en masse. I was looking for the specific instance of Rummy talking (following 9/11) about using such chemicals that Alan Watt regularly cites (or is it just hyperbole?).

I never saw the broadcast Alan Watt refers to either and like you would be keen to have it verified. However, on 9/11, I did see a short interview with an excited Rumsfield in front of the Pentagon where if I remember correctly he referred to large pieces of Plane wreckage that he had seen. It struck me at the time that it was very odd the way he was putting a lot of emphasis on seeing this wreckage. I have never seen this interview again or read any reference to it anywhere in the mass of 9/11 information. Does anyone else remember this? If so are my impressions correct or did they become distorted through all the conspiracies surrounding the Pentagon attack.
I too heard Rummy say the specific words valium and prozac. I’m sure it was scrubbed. When you have a 1/4 million govt. employees with the sole job of policing the internet, you got to expect there’s an awful lot of censoring. Look at how the Israeli stories get scrubbed. At least half a dozen articles released of Israeli’s caught near nuclear facilities, the two Mossad agents caught in the Mexican Congress building with C4, handgrenades, wiring, and Glocks on 10-11-01, exactly one month after 9-11 to the day. That was front page news in Mexico and these two caught red-handed were released after only one week. Not to mention the van full of exposives caught at the Washington Bridge which got lost in the story of another van with only explosive residue, arab disguises, and boxcutters. Also the four part Fox News story was taken down from their website after pressure from AIPAC and B’nai B’rith after only 3 weeks.
As for the spraying, go to pnl.gov for most of the research available on their massive webpages.

I listen to Alan Watt regularly, and came across your site through him. Your research is thorough and you seem able to cut through the propaganda.
I am needing help myself with pointers on a subject I would like more people to talk about: I have heard of anti-addiction vaccines, like vaccines to quit smoking. On Alex Jones’s show, I heard him talk about someone who took an anti-smoking vaccine, only to become perpetually depressed. In one article about a cocaine vaccine being developed, I smelled coercion immediately upon reading. Sure enough, the article said near the end, “ethical questions,” relating to coercion.
Then I went on the Internet, and learned a new term in the vocabulary: “neurocops,” people, (lawyers, legislators, etc) who want to make it a condition of parole and release to force people to take vaccines for drug use, or, in the case of Britain, forcing all children of alcoholics/drug users to take vaccines for cocaine and nicotine.
But a web search on the Internet on the negative neurological effects of vaccines for drug addiction is not forthcoming: all I see on NicVAX when I google it in is propaganda. Only positives, and no negatives. I don’t see a balanced view even on the Internet.
Yet it makes intuitive sense to me that if they want to block dopamine receptors, the things that give us pleasure normally, then that would be a great way to make people apathetic and dull, and thus control them. I could see only the positive aspects of anti-addiction vaccines being sold to the public and pushed, and then coerced through courts, parole conditions, and so on. But, as Alan Watt says, “there is always a very good reason, and then there’s the REAL reason.”
But without evidence or a good solid, scientific publication listing permanent negative side effects of cocaine and nicotine vaccines, then I have nothing to stand on. Just assumptions/suspicions. So i am raising this topic to people who are aware, in the hopes that if I can’t dig up any dirt on these vaccines, then maybe someone else, who is a better researcher and journalist than I am, can.
So this is both for you, Mark, and any one else reading this forum out there:
