‘08 storms will hit U.S. harder, more frequently
Accuweather forecaster Joe Bastardi on Monday will unveil his hurricane forecast for the 2008 season. He expects more storms, with more making landfall.

Bastardi utilized these methods in 2005 to become the first to accurately predict the path of Hurricane Katrina and the formation and path of Hurricane Rita. Bastardi and his team also began warning of the storm that would later become Hurricane Humberto as early as four days before the National Hurricane Center (NHC) first acknowledged weather conditions conducive for the development of the storm.
